The Chevy Corvette is the most popular muscle car ever built. Today some early model Corvettes sell for well over $100k. With the introduction of the big block 396 V-8 engine in 1965 the Corvette became the most powerful muscle car on the road. With a light weight fiberglass body speeds of over 160 mph were achievable. The Corvette was available as a coupe or convertible. By far the most popular years for the Corvette were between 1963 and 1967. Several thousand survivors still travel the roads today.
